BIBD strengthens public-private relations with educational trip to Ulu Belait
September 27th, 2018 – BIBD today visited Sekolah Rendah Merangking, Ulu Belait, as part of its efforts to strengthen relationships with students from the BIBD ALAF programme and the institutions that support them. Concurrently, BIBD presented the school with educational materials to supplement the development of their education.
The BIBD travelling party, which included senior management personnel, members of its Corporate Social Responsibility team as well as BIBD ALAF volunteers, took the opportunity to engage with ALAF teachers from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs, ensuring the educational progress of their ALAF students are carefully tended to.
Hj Mohammad Yusri bin Hj Wahsalfelah, BIBD Head of Government Relations and Special Projects, commented, “In line with Wawasan 2035 of creating well educated and highlyskilled Bruneians capable of impacting our future economy, it is essential that we holistically keep in tune with the unique needs and capabilities of our youth and prepare them to be an integral part of a highly digital future. At the same time, there is a need for us to work collaboratively with the right stakeholders and continue to ensure that the skillset that we have invested in are focused towards the sustainable growth of Brunei Darussalam’s economy."
