Position Summary
The Money Markets and Foreign Exchange (“MMFX”) Dealer is responsible for assisting the Head of MMFX in managing the bank’s entire MMFX portfolio, execute all the MMFX activities of the bank, assist Client Solutions team as and when required, and review MMFX agreements.
Requirements & Experience
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferably with coursework in financial markets, corporate finance, valuations, and macroeconomics.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, graduate programs, or entry‑level roles in banking, treasury, capital markets, or related areas).
- Experience in financial analysis, data handling, reporting, or risk‑related work is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of global currency and money markets.
- Basic understanding of the Treasury & Global Markets division and its role within the bank.
- Possess fundamental analysis skillset including knowledge of the macro-economic environment, credit fundamentals and market risk indicators.
- Strong analytical skills are required to interpret market data and assess risk.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are required to manage internal stakeholders and international global counterparts.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Good written and presentation skills are required for this role.
