Assistant Payment Lead, Payment Unit - Finance and Strategy Group

Position Summary

Assist the Payment Lead in processing daily payment transactions, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner and complying with all Standard Operating procedures.

Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related qualifications.
  • Possess an understanding of basic accounting entries.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing recommendations for the resolution of issues related to payment.
  • Assist in reviewing and verifying reconciliation of payment system reports with payment-related General Ledger (GL).
  • Assist in reviewing journal entries posted into the GL system.
  • Prepare reports and information as requested by stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, service providers and shareholders.
  • Assist in the management of process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing for and completing audits and liaising with the auditors.
  • Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned by the Financial Controller.
