Position Summary
The role is responsible for managing security technologies, strengthening security controls, supporting security operations and driving cybersecurity improvement initiatives to ensure secure and resilient technology services across the organisation.
Requirements & Experience
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
- Bachelorās Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience in related technical security roles; OR
- Higher National Diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related technical security roles.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent are considered as an added advantage.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security technologies and IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrable knowledge in cloud computing and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, post-quantum cryptography, and platforms.
- Familiarity with modern and trending threat tactics and vectors.
- Experience in managing security tools including but not limited to SIEM, Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Data Loss Prevention, Threat Intelligence, Zero-Trust, and others.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, incident response and security best practices.
- Familiarity with security standards, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Experience in supporting security projects, system changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure and operate security products and services across identity, access management, data protection, cloud, platforms, applications, artificial intelligence, cryptography and other emerging technology domains.
- Support a unified security operating model by harmonising security controls, standards, monitoring requirements and implementation practices across enterprise technology environments.
- Implement and optimise security controls to improve design effectiveness, operational effectiveness, auditability and regulatory defensibility across consolidated technology services.
- Contribute to secure architecture and security-by-design activities for cloud, DevSecOps, application, platform and infrastructure initiatives.
- Identify, assess and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities, control gaps and architecture risks across systems, applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms and third-party technology services.
- Conduct security assessments, investigations, technical analysis and control reviews to support risk mitigation, incident prevention, cyber resilience and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, system owners and custodians to ensure security requirements and stakeholders to ensure security requirements and best practices are effectively implemented.
