Position Summary
- Designs, codes, tests and documents complex programs following agreed specifications and standards to achieve well-engineered results.
- Recommends and designs system structures and tools that meet business needs, ensuring performance, security, and compatibility with existing systems. Translates logical designs into detailed documentation and corrects deviations to meet user specifications.
- Develops and maintains expertise in database concepts, modelling techniques, and architectures. Analyzes data requirements, evaluates solutions, and installs selected products.
- Manages the design and presentation of textual information, incorporating graphical content as needed for digital and interactive use.
- Creates test cases based on thorough technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications.
Requirements & Experience
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Studies or any IT related field, and a minimum of one year working experience in similar roles will be a plus or HND holders in any IT related field with a minimum of 5 years working experience in similar roles.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Having an ITIL Certification is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
- Good understanding of scalable systems, microservices and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Sound knowledge in SQL and NoSQL (MSSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB).
- Familiarity with network protocols, cybersecurity practices and secure coding principles.
- Good understanding in both Windows and Unix-based environments.
- Familiarity with project management practices, including requirement gathering, project planning, and related tools.
- Good understanding of unit testing, integration testing and other testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in an agile environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines efficiently.
