- Bruneian at Heart, Community, Featured, Sustainability
Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) kicked off the BIBD Home Showcase as part of its commitment to community development, fostering a culture of home ownership and supporting local businesses. The event, which was officiated by Dr. Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development, marks the beginning of a four-day showcase that goes beyond traditional exhibitions.
The showcase, which is being held at BIBD’s Kiulap Branch from 16 to 19 November from 9am to 7.00pm, aligns with BIBD’s larger commitment of supporting government initiatives aimed at enhancing housing accessibility and affordability for the community.
The BIBD Home Showcase: Mega 30 Edition themed ‘Future Homes’, held as part of the Bank’s 30th anniversary celebrations, aims to be a one-stop destination, offering prospective homebuyers the ability to explore home financing options provided by BIBD, select from a diverse range of ready-made homes, engage with experienced contractors, and draw inspiration from the latest trends in sustainable interior home designs.
The showcase also aims to support local MSMEs, with over 50 local businesses taking part, providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services. This commitment echoes BIBD’s active role in contributing to the economic growth of Brunei Darussalam and supporting the nation’s vision for robust MSME development.
Exclusively during the Home Showcase, visitors stand the chance to win amazing prizes ranging from an Umrah trip, holiday packages to London or Japan, home appliances from brands such as SMEG and Dyson and many more.
Adding to the excitement, the BIBD Home Showcase will also see the prize presentation events of various BIBD campaigns and promotions, including the BIBD Coffee Delights, BIBD Mega 30 Monthly Prize Presentation, the BIBD Aspirasi Live Draw, and the prize presentation of the BIBD x Si Manja Pet Grooming Spa promotion.
Bicara Santai sessions will be held on Friday and Saturday and will be hosted by expert panels consisting of representatives from Town and Country Planning Department, Ministry of Development, the Authority for Building Control Industry (ABCi), experienced architects and realtors, interior design companies as well as BIBD’s own Home Financing Specialists. Prospective home owners and those interested are encouraged to register for the panel talks by visiting BIBD’s Instagram page.
The public are welcomed to visit the BIBD Home Showcase where potential home owners can get more information and make informed decisions towards taking the first step in creating their ideal home.
