Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently participated in the 120th Malam Munajat, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA). The event took place at the Masjid As Shaliheen, attended by BIBD’s Managing Director and CEO, Awang Junaidi bin Haji Masri, along with 40 BIBD employees and Heads of Divisions.
The event commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighar and Surah Al-Mulk, led by Awang Haji Roslan bin Haji Alli from BIBD’s Shariah Division, followed by an enlightening religious talk, delivered by the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College. Awang Mohammad Hazame bin Haji Zainal from BIBD’s Internal Audit Division then guided the attendees in the recitation of Asma Ul Husna.
The Malam Munajat event, part of the Nationwide Munajat and Taubat Program organised by MORA, is a spiritual endeavour aimed at uniting the entire population of Brunei Darussalam in prayer and the recitation of zikir. Its purpose is to seek Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala’s forgiveness and protection from difficulties, misfortunes, disasters, and the spread of diseases across the nation.
BIBD’s presence at the event underscores the bank’s commitment as an Islamic financial institution to support the realisation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Draussalam’s vision of a Zikir nation. BIBD actively participates in activities that promote spiritual growth and unity among the people of Brunei Darussalam, emphasising the importance of gratitude towards Allah the Almighty and seeking His continuous blessings.
