In total, more than 200 BIBD staff and 200 BIBD ALAF students participated, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to nurturing spiritual values and unity within the wider BIBD community.

Gracing the event as Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of BIBD. Also present were BIBD Managing Director and CEO Tuan Junaidi bin Haji Masri; Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusuf, Assistant State Mufti (Buhuth), State Mufti Department and BIBD Director as well as other members of BIBD’s Board of Directors; the BIBD Shariah Advisory Body including its Chairperson, and members of BIBD’s senior management and staff.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the Khatam Al-Quran proceedings led by BIBD staff and ALAF students. The event continued with the presentation of gifts to the participating students, personally handed over by BIBD’s Chairman, as a token of appreciation for their spiritual accomplishment and
commitment.

This meaningful gathering served not only as a spiritual reflection during the holy month, but also as a reminder of BIBD’s values and responsibilities as Brunei’s leading Islamic financial institution. By fostering a sense of unity, compassion, and shared purpose, the event encapsulated the essence of Ramadhan, strengthening faith,
building community, and reinforcing BIBD’s commitment to serving not just the financial needs, but also the spiritual and social well-being of the nation.
