Senior Corporate Credit Risk Analyst​, Risk Management Division​

Position Summary

The Senior Corporate Credit Analyst is responsible for safeguarding BIBD’s balance sheet through the effective management of corporate credit risk, including portfolio analysis, credit evaluation and approval, corporate credit risk policy management, and oversight of the ECL framework to support sound risk-taking, regulatory compliance, and a resilient credit portfolio.

Requirements & Experience

  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Sciences or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 – 10 years’ relevant work experience in credit analysis or risk management in the banking industry. Strong knowledge in corporate credit assessment, IFRS9 ECL and credit risk policies are an added advantage.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound understanding of interpreting financial statements and cash flow assessments and possess strong qualitative and quantitative skills.
  • Good sense of business acumen.
  • Risk conscious with the ability to identify risk issues with limited information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong command in English and well versed in various Microsoft application especially Excel.
  • Good people skills and a team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assess, evaluate and produce recommendations/approvals on credit decisions related to Corporateobligors, up to a defined threshold/authority, supported by justifications and various credit tools.
  • Monitor, analyse and interpret corporate credit risk reports and portfolio trends, providing insights andrecommendations to support informed risk and business decisions. This includes monitoring of the portfolio and identifying potential risks for mitigation.
  • Review and maintenance of Scorecard, and consistent application of scorecards for the obligors.
  • Review and maintain policy, framework and SOP documents on a periodic basis.
  • Contribute to stress testing, risk appetite monitoring and capital planning activities. 
  • To perform validation works on IFRS9 ECL Models.
  • To perform various ad-hoc and periodic administrative tasks.
