16th Home Showcase Festival Highlights Options For A Sustainable Home Lifestyle

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) today launched the 16th instalment of its ‘Home Showcase Festival’, offering both homeowners and prospective homeowners alike the chance to experience the latest and best in home design and lifestyle options. 

The 16th Home Showcase Festival, which is back after a 2 year hiatus due to COVID-19, carries the theme “Towards a Sustainable Home Lifestyle” will showcase the latest trends in exterior and interior design, highlighting the concept of sustainable living and how to create a home that is both stylish and environmentally friendly. This event is also part of BIBD’s initiatives under the BIBD Sustainability Framework and support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). 

Present to launch the event at BIBD Kiulap Branch was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development, Dr. Nor Imtihan binti Hj Abdul Razak. 

Throughout the Home Showcase Festival, which is taking place from 17 to 19 March 2023, visitors who are interested in purchasing their dream home can also speak to BIBD’s home financing experts to take advantage of BIBD’s Shariah-compliant home financing solutions with Annual Profit Rate (APR) starting from as low as 4%.  

The Department of Energy at the Prime Minster’s Office will also be showcasing solar panels for residential homes and an Electric Vehicle (EV) demo for members of the public who are interested in adopting a more sustainable lifestyle. Government agencies such as the Town and Country Planning Department, The Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) will also be participating in the Home Showcase Festival.

The Home Showcase will also be a cashless event, where customers can use BIBD QuickPay to pay at any of the local food vendors present. Also taking part in the festival will be the latest cohort of BIBD’s Special Entrepreneurship Empowerment & Development Scheme also known as BIBD SEED. The female entrepreneurs joined the 5th cohort of BIBD SEED in November 2022, and will be looking to gain more exposure and practical experience in their entrepreneurship journey.  

Customers who sign up for financing or credit card products throughout the festival will also be eligible for fee waivers, vouchers and exclusive BIBD gifts.
