BIBD and Subsidiaries Holds Tahlil At Royal Mausoleum

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and its Group of Companies today held its annual Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong.The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Yaasiin followed by Tahlil and doa in honour of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Abdul Rahman and for His Majesty’s late son, Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim. 

The prayers were led by Imam Haji Hamdini bin Haji Gharif, Mosque Affairs Officer from Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, Bandar Seri Begawan. 

Present at today’s ceremony was Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusof, Assistant Mufti (Buhuth) in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam (Takaful Brunei) and Haji Sofian bin Haji Mohammad Jani, Acting Managing Director of the Brunei Investment Agency in his capacity as member of BIBD’s Board of Directors. Also present were BIBD and Takaful Brunei’s Board of Directors. 

Also in attendance was BIBD’s Managing Director and CEO, Awang Junaidi bin Haji Masri as well as Managing Directors from BIBD At-Tamwil and Takaful Brunei along with management and staff from BIBD, BIBD At-Tamwil and Takaful Brunei.  

The ceremony marked one of the annual religious events carried out by the bank during the holy month of Ramadhan to multiply good deeds and seek Allah’s blessings, remember those who have passed on as well as strengthen ties among the bank’s personnel and staff.
