Position Summary
Dedicated and experienced professional to join the Employee & Industrial Relations (EIR) team at BIBD. To support a positive employee relations environment across the bank. Will provide expert advice on employment policies and ER matters, manage complex employee cases, and ensure consistent implementation of policy changes aligned with legal and organizational standards.
Requirements & Experience
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years’ experience in an HR generalist or employee relations capacity is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, industrial governance, and collective agreements.
- Proven experience handling complex ER issues and conflict resolution.
- Effective communicator with stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR systems and procedures.
- Experience in coaching, policy development, and managing relationships with external authorities is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key advisor to HR and business managers on ER and employment policy issues.
- Liaise with government agencies (Labour Department, Immigration Department, BDCB, Job Centre Brunei, Higher-Education Institutions) on behalf of BIBD.
- Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, and PIP cases ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of ER strategies, processes, and training initiatives.
- Ensure governance and legal alignment in all ER-related policies and decisions.
- Foster a positive ER climate during organizational change.
