Application Maintenance Officer (Retail Banking Solutions) - Information Technology Division

Position Summary

  • Responsible for application maintenance and support services, either directly to the end users or to service delivery functions.
  • Anticipate, investigate and resolve incidents and problems to applications within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure applications within area of responsibility are healthy and fully operational as per defined Service Level Agree Agreement (SLA).
  • Act as subject matter expert for applications under area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with other IT departmentsĀ  and Vendors on fixes to reported incidents and problems.
  • Develop implementation plans for change requests.
  • Develop, manage and review documents such as procedures, technical manual, guidelines etc.
  • Identify, analyse and optimize existing applications and processes in reducing inefficiencies and enhancing productivity.

Requirements & Experience

  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or any other relevant field; OR
  • Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or any other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • Having an ITIL Certification is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding of EAI, SOA and Web Services technologies and concepts.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and end users.
  • Self-motivated, driven and able to work in a team and independently.
  • Attendance of a general management, people management, project management, and change management courses with good understanding of ITSM methodologies.
  • A sense of urgency, ambition and passion for impacting how we grow our business in the market.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge in banking related computer systems and operations.
