Corporate Credit Risk Analyst - Risk Management Division

Position Summary

The corporate credit risk analyst role involves preparation, maintenance and analysis of data for monitoring of the corporate portfolio and regular reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the analyst will also perform credit analysis and produce recommendations for credit decisions on various corporate obligors.

Requirements & Experience

  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field with 2–5 years’ relevant experience or HND in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years’ directly related experience.
  • Strong ability to interpret financial statements and assess the creditworthiness of corporate customers.
  • Good business acumen with sound judgement in identifying and articulating key risk issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with data/BI tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Self‑starter able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines with high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain and analyse data for regular reporting, specific to Corporate Credit Risk, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of corporate portfolio and identifying potential risks for mitigation.
  • Perform preliminary screening of credit proposals to ensure completeness of documentation submitted.
  • Assess and produce recommendations on credit decisions related to Corporate obligors, up to a defined threshold supported by justifications and various credit tools.
  • Perform validation works on IFRS9 ECL Models.
  • Review and maintain policy and framework documents on a periodic basis.
  • Perform various ad-hoc and periodic administrative tasks.
