System Developer (Projects)​, PMO and Delivery Department

Position Summary

  • Design, develop, test and document complex applications in line with agreed specifications and development standards.
  • Recommend and design system architectures, tools and solutions that meet business needs, ensuring performance, security and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Translate functional and logical designs into detailed technical documentation and working solutions.
  • Analyze data and system requirements, evaluate solution options and implement selected technologies.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in database design, data modelling and system architecture.
  • Manage the presentation and structuring of digital content, incorporating graphical elements where required.
  • Create and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements to ensure solution quality.

Requirements & Experience

  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or a related field; OR
  • Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • ITIL certification will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of scalable system design, microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Awareness of network protocols, cybersecurity practices, and secure coding standards.
  • Comfortable working in both Windows and Unix-based environments.
  • Exposure to project management practices, including requirement gathering, planning, and relevant tools.
