Position Summary
- Design, develop, test and document complex applications in line with agreed specifications and development standards.
- Recommend and design system architectures, tools and solutions that meet business needs, ensuring performance, security and compatibility with existing systems.
- Translate functional and logical designs into detailed technical documentation and working solutions.
- Analyze data and system requirements, evaluate solution options and implement selected technologies.
- Develop and maintain expertise in database design, data modelling and system architecture.
- Manage the presentation and structuring of digital content, incorporating graphical elements where required.
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements to ensure solution quality.
Requirements & Experience
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or a related field; OR
- Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology or other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
- ITIL certification will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of scalable system design, microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Awareness of network protocols, cybersecurity practices, and secure coding standards.
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Unix-based environments.
- Exposure to project management practices, including requirement gathering, planning, and relevant tools.
